What do you think of Grace, with the nickname Gracie?

It's our top choice right now and I really love it, but my husband is worried it sounds too religious/wordy. I think Emma and Gracie would be adorable sister names though! We would likely never call her Grace or introduce her as Grace, but Gracie seems too childish for a full name.

We liked Grace Brinley, but we think it sounds too choppy with our last name. So, what do you think of these?

Grace Adelyn

Grace Caitlyn

Grace Rosalie

Grace Madison

I just can't get on this Adelyn/Adeline kick everyone is on. I adore Madeline/Madelyn so Adelyn just feels incomplete to me.

Caitlyn is very dated and I've never cared for the C spellings.

Madison sounds like medicine.

Rosalie is your best choice here!

I submitted a long, lovely reply hours ago, but I think PC ate it up.  :/

I love Grace for you.  I think Emma and Grace are great together, and though Grace can have very Biblical connotations, I also think it is just a very classic name, much like Emma, Julia, or Rose.  It's perfect with Emma.

My favorite of your combos is Grace Rosalie--it's just stunning!--but I also like the pairing of Emma Brooklyn and Grace Madison.  Both feminine, short-and-sweet, charming, classic FNs with more trendy, unisex, American place MNs.  Along those lines, I think Grace Dakota, Grace London (wouldn't be American, but it's still cool!), Grace Austen/Grace Austin, Grace Dallas, Grace Cheyenne (not unisex, but still pretty), etc. would be lovely options, as well.  I really like Grace London, but I'm not sure about how it flows with your LN.

Good luck!

I LOVE Grace/Gracie. I think Grace is so mature and beautiful when she's older and Gracie is adorable as a little girl. Can't go wrong.

I'm a Christian so Grace being "religious" doesn't bother me at all. The act of grace is a beautiful thing, whether you're religious or not, so I don't think that's a problem.

Emma and Grace/Gracie are perfect together. I think it was my top choice from your last post.

I don't like Brinley much and with Grace it seems mismatched. Grace is classic and Brinley is trendy. So i'd go w/a diff mn choice. From your list I like Grace Adelyn best. The flow is slightly off with then names ending and beginning in vowels. Grace Madeleine (for example) rolls of the tonuge better with the addition of the M sound. Just a technicality, but that's the sort of stuff I notice, haha.

HTH Luv Sar xoxo
