Teagan
I am starting to glom on to the name Teagan! I think it has a rather sweet sound and I love that it means "little poet."
The name is listed as unisex, but I find that it sounds kind of sweet for a girl. However, I don't typically include unisex names on my girls list, as I prefer names like Juliet, Matilda, Eloise, Penelope, etc.
For boys, my top names include Rowan, Atticus, August, Gabriel, William, Hugo, and Ciaran (like Kieran). Teagan fits in well with the boys, but is it too similar to Rowan? Rowan is my top name for a boy. Would Teagan as a brother be too much like Rowan in sound and style?
Regardless of my style, would you err on the side of thinking a Teagan was a girl or a boy? What middle names would you suggest for Teagan as a first name? Overall, do even like the name Teagan at all?
As usual, I put the disclaimer that I am not anywhere near being pregnant, I just like to think over some names, thanks! :)

I'm pretty opinionless as far as Teagan goes, I don't love it, but I don't hate it, either, but I do like the meaning a lot. The real reason I dropped by was to say that I met a guy named Teagan the other day, so it seems more masculine to me than feminine. It always seemed more masculine anyway, but after meeting this guy, it really solidified it. I think Teagan would be really awesome, and isn't too close to Rowan for me (although stylistically, I think they clash a bit--Rowan seems a lot classier/less trendy to me). Maybe use Teagan as a MN? Like Rowan Gabriel and Atticus Teagan, or something?
I thought I'd already said this, but I figured I'd add since I don't see it--if Teagan is too far gone to the girls for you, would you consider Juliet Teagan? I think that's really lovely, actually, and I love the double (albeit subtle) Shakespearean references--with Romeo and Juliet (bahaha, I almost typed Joleo and Rumiet. lol!) and with the meaning "little poet". :)
That is cute, but I don't think Teagan fits well with the girls. I also have a thing about using names that feel like first names as middle names. Teagan feels like such an independent name that sticking it in the middle name spot just doesn't feel right. I am kind of feeling Juliet Freyja, but I don't know. Freyja feels very independent as well rather than complementary. But then, a lot of names that are really complementary (Marie, Rose, Elizabeth, etc.) get called banal middle names. I attempt to strike a balance, I guess!

I have never seen teagan used ona boy and know quite a number of teagans that are female, it is a fairly popular name in my area in my age group, and i think teagan and rowan are really nice together.
i have seen teagan used with:
Teagan Rae
Teagan Grace
Teagan Anne- though i don't like this very much
Teagan Jane
i think a really soft feminine name would work well for a middle name with it some like
teagan Faith
Teagan Grace
Teagan May
Teagan Juilet has a nice ring to it imo as well
my favourite name for your boys list is def Rowan but i also think August is really nice too
good luck :)

My friend has a little girl named Tegan Noelle, she just may be the cutest little girl ever! I had never heard it before she named her little girl that. At first I thought it was a little manly sounding, kind of sounded like Tongan to me, like the Tongan culture (who knows why? haha.). I think it fits her perfect now! She's so cute, I think she just makes that name so incredibly cute and feminine sounding to me!

Oh and yes, Teagan does work stylistically with your boys list. I wouldn't use it as a boys name these day tho.
And no, Teagan and Rowan aren't too similar at all.

I definitely think it's a girls name. It may have orginally been unisex, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a male Teagan these days.
Personally, I'm not really fan of it. It feels dated to me, not overly, but to me it fits with all the Teagans, Megans, Amandas and Jessicas I went to school with ( 10yrs ago). That's just me tho. It's by no means a "bad" name.
As for mn's i'd go with something really feminine and pretty. Not cuz of the unisex thing, but b/c the T and G sounds in Teagan make it a little harsh IMO. So something like Teagan Annabelle, Teagan Emma, Teagan Charlotte, etc will balance it out nicely I think.

Teagan is on our list for a little girl. I know many Teagans and they are all girls, I think a boy would have trouble pulling it off with so many girls having that name. I love the name, I think it's adorable and pretty.
Some of our Teagan combos are:
Teagan Elise
Teagan Monroe
Teagan Grace
Teagan Addison
