Caroline ..... Thoughts?
I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts on the name Caroline. I love it but have had some negative reactions to it. I would pair it with Reese or something more modern to give it a unique spin. Caroline Reese...what do you think!? Love it, hate it, in between?

i want to like caroline but dont care for it too much. it has a bit of a southern flare. i think i prefer carolina pronounced carol-EE-na. but i think people would pronounce it carol-EYE-na. well idk now i think caroline is better. carolina is a bit long. ok well its a nice choice. i think most people will like this name. ive seen it alot on here. reese goes nicely with it but i dont like reese for a girl. i like it for a boy.

I really like Caroline, it's classic and beautiful, though I've always had a soft spot for Carolyn.
Reese is not my style, I just can't see it without thinking of the candy Reese's. Plus it's always felt male to me.

I like Caroline a lot. Reese is okay. But then again, I'm a real conservative when it comes to names. I, personally, would choose something like Caroline Teresa. But Caroline Reese is nice and has a great ring to it.

I love Caroline! It's so classic and charming, I can't see why anyone would hate it?
Honestly, I don't think it needs a trendy/unisex type name to make it cool--Caroline already is cool! I would even love to see something classic like Caroline Jane or Caroline Anne. But if you like Caroline Reese, I think it is a lovely name.
I love that Jane Austen used it in her novels, too, although Caroline Bingley is probably the worst literary namesake, haha, she was truly awful! I absolutely love Pride and Prejudice, but I wouldn't claim Caroline Bingley as the inspiration for your daughter's name, haha.
Good luck!

Caroline is a great name. It is my daughter's name. She is 5. It is classic yet modern. She is sometimes called 'carolynn' (car-o-Lynn) & I don't get that at all. The name has been around practically forever, after all. Some ppl said to me that she'd have trouble spelling such a long name. Whatever. Their name is their name & they know no different. Where I live there are not tons of other girls with the name & I think that is nice. EVERYBODY thinks they should chime in on your baby's name...but @ the end of the day, it is on you...and you don't want to not pick the name you want because of what other ppl say. Besides, I have friends & family who have named their kids some pretty crazy things & sooner than later everyone is used to it & it's just the norm. After the baby is born, people forget what the heck you named the baby & just want to tell you how to do everything else. Lol. Good Luck!
