Ryan and I are still in love with Eleanor Sophia for our little girl! We believe that it will go great with William Joseph and Alexander Thomas. We were telling the boys that we are going to name her Eleanor Sophia and since then Alexander has been calling her Ella while William has been calling her Baby Ellie. Which nickname do you like best for Eleanor

I agree with others that she could be both. When it comes to Ella vs. Ellie I prefer Ellie but maybe that's because I have an Allie.

 

Ella seems more like a full name to me and I think having a full name as a nickname wouldn't make a whole lot of sense as Ellie could be a nickname for Ella.

I agre with the previous posters :) Ella and Ellie are both super cute and then both boys can have their preference. I get so many nicknames and respond to all of them, haha. I also know of a little Eleanor whose nickname is just E like the letter. Eleanor Sophia is lovely! When is she due to arrive?

Personally, I adore Eleanor nn Ella.  So I would opt for that, personally.  But if you like Ella and Ellie, I don't see why she couldn't be Eleanor nn Ella AND Ellie.  That way, both William and Alexander would be happy.  :)

I like Ellie as a nickname better.

But honestly, I don't see the harm in your boys calling her both Ella and Ellie.

i like the name ella better. but ellie sounds more like a nick n ame for eleanor

I prefer Ella, but there's no reason why she couldn't use both.

I prefer Ellie myself and I think Eleanor is a beautiful name =D  It might be cute that she has a nn from each of her brothers
