Boys List, WDYT?
I never seem to get the reception I'm looking for on my posts, I think perhaps I make them too lengthy and daunting. So here we go:
Please critique, comment on, and make suggestions for our boys list!
We are not TTC anytime soon, I just like to think of potentials.
Jack Ephraim [eh-frum]
Gale Finnegan
Noah Hawthorne - (we wouldn't use Gale and Hawthorne because of the heavy Hunger Games connection despite how much I love them both)
Henry Atticus
Last name is a clunky 3-syllable name starting with "G" and it sounds good with NOTHING. You could place Gatlinburg in there if it helps visualize the flow. :)
Thanks!

Love Jack, but not Ephraim. It looks nice written down, but I don't know, it sounds like something from a medical dictionary to me for some reason!
Not a fan of Gale, simply because of the whole Hunger Games hype (just like Edward and Jacob and Bella a few years back) and because I can't help but hear Gail, the female version, so I'll always consider it a feminine name. Finnegan is pretty cute for a middle name.
Loooove Noah Hawthorne. Very unusual, but I do love the name Noah. It's cute, but masculine at the same time. Perfect name for a little boy.
And don't like Henry Atticus, I'm just not a fan of either name.
Good luck! :)

I feel like I've commented on all your names before, too. Were there new ones you hadn't posted before? I like Jack the best, then Noah, then Henry. In terms of your combos, I like Noah Hawthorne quite a bit. I'm not a fan of the other middle name options and I know I've posted before that I really cannot see Gale as anything but a middle-aged woman's name. Sorry.

I feel like I've commented on your names before, which is why I don't usually when I see them posted again, I don't want to spam you. (I agree wih thelionandthebelle, I was around periodically back when this site was much busier (I was like, 15, though, I don't think people took me seriously. Actually I'm still not sure that they do...). I think it went downhill after Nickelodeon bought this site, which surprises me, I figured that would help it. It's too bad, I've always liked this forum better than Nameberry. I hope you get responses this time!)
Jack Ephraim - I'm not a huge fan of Jack on it's own, I like it better as a nickname for Jackson, but Jackson Ephraim wouldn't sound good at all so I guess Jack works well in the combo. Ephraim isn't my style at all, but I kind of see the appeal (a lot of you guys seem to like it!) Seems like a strong combo, though not my personal fave.
Gale Finnegan - I really love Gale, when I first read Hunger Games I thought it was great, especially compared to some of the ridiculous names in that series. And Hunger Games helped make it okay for a boy, which is great. I'd worry that people will think it's a girl name still, though. I also really like Finnegan, and I think the combo is great, but I did initially think of Finnick when I read it with Gale, which might be a concern. Regardless I really like the combo, both are great names!!
Noah Hawthorne - Honestly I've never liked Noah, never really been able to place why. Even without HG I see Hawthorne as more of a surname, but I think it works alright as a middle name, better than some of the surname-y names. It seems like there are a lot of the same vowel sounds in the combo though, it's very repetitive and flowy, which makes it easy to say, but a little boring to me.
Henry Atticus - I absolutely love Henry, such a great classic name. And I like Atticus a lot too, especially in the midle name slot. I think this is a great combo, a very solid name that would be great at any age. This one's definitely my favorite of your list, though Gale's a close second.

I'm pretty sure I've commented on all these lists already, which is why I generally don't reply I know, haha, you are always very good about giving helpful feedback. I think I end up putting the same names up over and over and I just look for support and reassurance O_o(that, and PC is pretty much dead now, lol), but anyway:Do you mean there aren't many posts going on or its not a site people really use anymore?
Thanks for your input, as always! Like I said, I think I always get a little down about my list and just like the reassurance. :)
haha, no--you should have seen PC when I first joined it. Compared to then, it's dead. We're lucky if five threads on the name forum get answered on in one day, but back then, you could go back a page, two pages, maybe even three, and they'd all have posts from one day, this forum was alive, it was posted on all the time, it was great. And there were a lot of people who really knew about names, and it was a better place for people like me, who are interested in names for the sake of names, or who were naming characters or whatever. More people loved names like Anais, Madelief, Juliette, Aubrey (on a boy), etc. than names like Ava, Harper, and William (there's nothing wrong with those names, I'm not saying there is. It was just more of a name addict atmosphere than of everyday parents trying to name their kids). I don't know if you've ever seen Nameberry, but it was a lot more like Nameberry than what PC actually is now.
When I first joined, there were at least 4 name forums, maybe even five (the ones I remember were the girls' forum--which the one unified name forum was dumped into--the boys' forum, unique name forum, and expert name advice forum, maybe even one more). Compared to what it was, it's just dead. I sometimes lurk on the TTC forum, too, because I have a heart for those mamas like you wouldn't believe and I hope that one day so soon they'll get their BFP, and I've heard the same thing over there--that they used to have this great, big, nurturing, wonderful community and it's just dead, there used to be dozens of ladies they went through the experience with and now they're lucky if there's five people on the TTC calendar threads. The pregnancy forums still seem to get a quite a bit of traffic, but nowhere near as much as what PC used to be. I don't know why it died out, but it did. So I'm mostly on Nameberry, but PC was my first love, so I still come back sometimes. :)

Jack Ephraim - love it. Jack is one of my favorite FNs, and and Ephraim's one of my favorite MNs. I would love to meet a little boy named Jack Ephraim. :)
Gale Finnegan - I liked Gale Theodore more, but Gale Finnegan is lovely. I know you get a lot of flack for Gale, but I quite love it for a boy. Yeah, I just can't help but love it! I think (I'm hoping) it'll be one of those names that people don't like at first but, after knowing a little Gale and then a young man Gale, they'll come on sites like these and say, "Actually I know a very nice and handsome man named Gale!" haha, that's my dream anyway.I like Galen even more, but Gale is pretty cool. I do think you'll get a lot of THG comments, though. Although that's sort of why I like Gale, haha--I liked Peeta more, but I did like Gale a lot, too, until the final book. :/ Right??? Great books though.
Noah Hawthorne - LOVE Noah, I'm seriously considering it for my own list. :) I really see no appeal in Hawthorne at all, sorry. Nathaniel Hawthorne was a great writer (although I hated his most famous work, haha, that's probably why I dislike it), but Noah Hawthorne sounds like a combo in and of itself, and I don't like the most common nn for Hawthorne (Hawk). I do think that Noah and Hawthorne do work really well together, though.
Henry Atticus - love both names separately, but I've never really loved Henry Atticus. I do think it fits really well with the rest of your list, but I would much prefer to see Atticus Henry.
Thanks for your input, as always! Like I said, I think I always get a little down about my list and just like the reassurance. :)

I like Noah Hawthorne and Henry Atticus. Not a fan of Ephraim or Gale (even though I love The Hunger Games). Jack is fine, but I'd prefer it paired with something different, like Jack Hawthorne.
