Because it's a free country. People are allowed to express what they don't like and what they do like. I think "hate" is a strong word. As I said in my post, those names aren't just my cup of tea. And if someone is going to re-think giving their child a name they like because a few people (on the internet) don't like it, then they will NEVER find a name. While reading some other posts on this board, I saw names I like listed here...and guess what...I still love them. Who cares?
- Quote 4070016
- Edit
Why do people have to bash names others love? If you don't love or even like it, don't use it! But others should not have to worry about others thoughts on the names they love! The names you love, others may hate too! If someone asks for opinions on a name, post on the post why you don't like the name, and maybe give an idea, but why bash others names!

The "Mc" names. I don't necessarily HATE them. But they're not my cup of tea. So that would include, McKenna, McKenzie, Mackenzie, McKayla, Michaela,Mikayla etc. And with the exception of Blair, I don't really like unisex names on girls. I think names like Spencer and James for example, just sound so much better on boys. I suppose Ashley counts as a unisex name, but that very rarely ever gets used for a boy anymore. And I don't like "unique spelling names" like when someone names their child "Vyktorya" for example. Like, I just want to scream its "Victoria". What was so wrong with that? As for boys names, I really don't like "car" names. Like Dodge or Bentley. I also don't like Brody. It sounds like Grody. But that's pretty much it for popular names, at least. There are other names I don't like, but they're not that popular so....

I am apparently not a fan of popular names. Plus a couple random ones.
Olivia: I have just never understood the appeal of this name. I don't like Olive either. An olive is a food, not a name.
Ava: I wouldn't mind it as a nickname, but I don't like it as a full name.
Adi: I do not like this nickname at all. I think it has to do with my hatred of math, and all I can think of is "adding" when I hear this.
Amanda: All I hear is "I'm a man, duh".
Alexis: All I can imagine is "What do you drive?" "A Lexus".
Isabelle or Isabella: I just hear "Is a bell" or "Is a bell a".
Mia: I love this as a nickname, but not a full name.
Elijah: I've just never liked it.
Landon: I can't really explain, but I don't like how my mouth feels when I say it.
Owen: "O, when does the show start"
Drew: "What did you draw in school today?" "I drew a..."
Noah: I don't hate it, but it would never make my top 10 list.

There is a polethera of names that I dislike. But here are the few everyday names that just make my skin crawl.
Girls:
Any spelling of Michaela besides this one.
Leah--IDk why but I really just do not like this name.
Hannah--same as Leah. And I especially hate it when it is spelled Hanna. I love Anna though. Weird, I know.
Lola--I could accept this as a nickname but I don't see the appeal as a given name.
Angel--I work with a girl named this and I feel awkward when I have to say her name aloud. It feels like I'm calling a stranger a pet name.
I hate the nicknames Maddie, Addie and Lottie.
Nevaeh....especially when it is spelled Neveah...that defeats the point of it being Heaven backwards.
Tabitha--I hate the way my mouth feels when I say it. Lol. And I really dislike the nn Tabby.
Phillipa....
Boys:
Seth--my number one hated boy name. IDK why. I really cringe every time I see or hear it...and I have a friend with this name.
Logan--sometimes I hate Logan as equally as I hate Seth. I do not see or hear the appeal of this name. I hated this back when I was reading The Baby-Sitters Club books.
Owen--I just don't like it.
Liam--Again, I just don't like it.
Phillip--I find this name to be hoity-toity and stuck up.
Greyson/Grayson--I really just do not get the appeal. Maybe because gray is my least favorite color.
Jack--I know it is a classic and timeless name. That does not make me like it any more. I don't detest it like Logan or Seth but I find it boring.

I hate all -ayden names (Aiden, Cayden, Jayden, etc.) I don't know why. They just grate on my nerves.
I used to hate Liam, but it has started to grow on me. I still don't love it, but I don't hate it anymore either.
I don't like nicknames for full names. I don't mind the use of nicknames, just not as names by themselves.
