"30 Rock"-Inspired Baby Names for Tina Fey
Tina Fey is pregnant! 30 Rock is ending! (At least that's the rumor and Alec Baldwin's never wrong!) WHAT is the world coming to? And what in the world are we gonna do on Thursday nights? Well, if we have to give up our weekly dose of Liz and the gang, we think it's only fair that that new baby represents with a show-inspired name to always remind us of the good old days.
Here's our shortlist:
Blerg Liz Lemon's signature phrase might not be the most conventional name choice, but consider the nickname possibilities! Blerggie...Blergy Boy... Blerg-meister... Blerg-o-rama... It's elementary school gold.
Corn, Gravy, Sandwich, Cereal... Liz always has some sort of food in her teeth ("Corn!"), on her shirt, or in her relentless pursuit. And of all the options, these four sound seriously name-worthy. We can already hear her at the park with the kids: "Alice! Gravy! It's time to leave now!"
Gerta or Hans Liz's mastery of the German language is bar none, so these choices are fitting, but more subtle than, say, Strudel or Schnitzel. (Though, those last two might be a nice option for twins.)
Alec or Alec-zandra Of course she could choose from among the many fab 30 Rock character names (Kenneth, Tracy, Twofer, Lutz...), but since Jack named his baby after Liz, it's only fair that Tina name hers after Alec.
Rock or Roxy Yes, it's an obvious choice, but it's as cool a name as it is a show (not that you'd need a cool name with a mom like Tina Fey!).
Emmy To match mommy's seven Emmy Awards, four of which were for 30 Rock!
Oprah Liz's unabashed idol and the leader of her self-proclaimed religion ("I pretty much do whatever Oprah tells me.") would, we're sure, be honored to be the baby's namesake—whether it's a girl or a boy.
