When choosing a name for your baby, be aware that using a moniker that begins with the same letter as the name of another family member can cause confusion, particularly if they live in the same home. Say a private letter addressed to a Mr. J. Smith arrives, who's it for? John or his son James? If you are set on a letter theme, think about adding middle names that start with different letters such as John William and James Thomas.
