First-Time Mom-to-Be Seeks Advice!

Hi there. I just joined here today looking to connect with other first-time moms-to-be and experienced mommies.
My husband is away finishing boot camp and then training. I only communicate with him through letters right now, and the occasional phone call. He will be done early May (and I will be about 7 months along by then). We don't know how long he will have before he is shipped to a base ... or where he will be shipped ... or if I can live with him when he is shipped; everything is so up in the air and it makes me feel so scared and alone.
To add to it, my mother passed away in September. She was only 46 and was the best friend I had other than my husband. Not only do I feel so alone right now, I also have a million questions about being pregnant and the birth process ... what to purchase now ... what to expect in the first few weeks, months, years of my baby's life. I want to be excited about this, but I just feel so scared and alone right now. So anyone with anything to say would be a huge relief!
