One Pregnancy, Two Kids
Submitted by MomofTwinboys
It seems like everyone I know is having a baby this year and part of me is jealous. I've had two kids but only one pregnancy.
I know some of you are wondering why I would want to be pregnant twice if I didn't have to be. I just feel like I missed out. I only got the attention and the experience once. I only got to experience watching my belly grow, the babies kicking, and all of the good and the bad that goes with being pregnant once. I wasn't able to choose how far apart in age I wanted my kids to be or experience the difference between having one kid vs. having two.
With all of that said, I come to the conclusion that even though I missed out on an extra pregnancy (lol), I love that I have twins. They keep each other busy when I'm too tired or busy too play. They are very close and defend each other. They are each other's bodyguards. Yes, it was double the clothes, bottles, milk, etc., but I wouldn't change a thing. Although I wish I could have had the extra experience, I'm glad I got to "get it over with" lol.
