Skin and Skin Care During Pregnancy
Rather than a healthy glow from being pregnant, my skin looks terrible. Any advice? The range of ways a woman's body can change during pregnancy can be broad. Some feel really beautiful, and their skin becomes really clear—but that's not true for everybody. Many women actually develop acne or skin rashes.
Sounds as if you're among the unlucky ones. Treating your acne with regular over-the-counter medications, such as Oxy10, is probably safe during pregnancy, though we don't know for sure because there's not a lot of research on the subject.
We do know, however, that using prescription drugs like Accutane and tetracycline is dangerous during pregnancy. Be sure that if you go to a dermatologist, you tell your doctor that you are pregnant so they don't end up giving you something that would be dangerous to your baby.
The best advice is to ask your doctor. There is no evidence of harm but with little data available, you might want to be cautious and not use anything that has any active ingredients.

Unfortunately, I am dealing with acne. I haven't tried it yet, but there are skin products from a company called Basq, which are made to clear up acne and give you that pregnant glow instead. It is made just for mommies to be. There are other lines just for us like Bella B, Momma Bee (by Burt's Bee's Wax), and more. They can be a little pricey though. I plan on trying the acne products and will let everyone know what I find. :)
