I got to keep my new C cups after my baby was born!
Thanks to Vanessa Antoine
After a few positive pregnancy tests and a couple of slaps on the cheek from my doctor, I finally grasped the reality that I was, indeed, pregnant. "How could this be?" I asked myself, hoping that it was all just a dream. You see, right before I became pregnant, I had worked really hard to get a stomach that even Shania Twain would be envious of. And now, just like that, it was over.
Once I got past the idea of weight gain and stretch marks, I started to focus on the many positives of pregnancy. Of the many positives I would soon discover, my husband started "discovering" them first: My meager "barely Bs" soon became full-blown "mega-Cs." At this point, my soon-to-be bundle of joy was still the size of a grape, so I took advantage and started struttin' around town like I was Hef's "Miss May." Whistles? Yeah, I got them. Those accidental booby-glances that my husband's buddies would give me were forgiven, for I was finally the curvaceous woman I had considered paying thousands to become.
How did I celebrate this bountiful gift? By shopping the "big bra" section at Victoria's Secret, of course. My old training bras just could not support the greatness of my new Cs, and waiting any longer to purchase those much-needed bigger bras would only result in the appearance of quad-boobs losing circulation as they spilled out of my B cups.
I was nervous as I approached the sweet-smelling store in the mall, but that was short lived as I noticed my reflection in the display windows. The lighting seemed to accentuate my girls, and I could now walk into this store with a purpose. As I approached the salesgirl, I thought to myself, "Small booby girls across America, this one is for you!" I have finally reached the top of the mountain, or should I say "mountains," of boob envy and can confidently shop where none of us have been before—that's right, the C section.
"Ahem" I began. "Yes? May I help you?" the salesgirl replied. "Yes, ma'am. I need to know where the" (I pointed my chest out just a little more than it already was, then continued), "C-cup bras can be located." She gave me the old once-over, then pointed to her left and said, "They're over there—with the As and Bs.".
If my boobies were balloons, they would have deflated right then and there. With my ears back and tail between my legs, I went and picked out a new bra, paid for it and drove home … not feeling quite as big-headed or big-boobed as I had before. Thanks a lot, skinny salesgirl, for smashing my fantasy into smithereens. The overall positive? My boobies stayed Cs so, skinny salesgirl, a "ha-ha" to you. I'll be back!
I'm so happy to read about women who start off their pregnancy with a large chest. I'm a 38DD and already I'm popping out of my bras at 13 weeks. I keep reading about women with small chests being overjoyed at finally having boobs. This is the part that I am absolutely dreading. People keep saying, oh your boobs are going to be soooooo big. I don't want big boobs, I already have enough. Seriously, how big are they going to get? Are they going to be bigger than my baby? I've also heard that some women end up with a smaller chest size after giving birth than what they had orginally - so I'm hanging on to that hope. They are also starting to get uncomfortable when I sleep, so not quite sure what to do about that. I guess I could try a pillow. Hopefully these growing boobs won't be as painful (physically and emotionally) as I think they are going to be....
I am able to admit that I am totally looking forward to finally having some boobs. Its funny though.... Those of us that dont have them and those that do have them cant wait to get rid of them. Always want what you dont have thing. Im just freaked b/c I dont want my nips to stare at my belly button when my boobs deflate!!
Before DD I was a 34 B. Then towards the end I went to get a nursing bra and while I was trying them o (and thinking that I was a C) I relized that the Ds were still a little snug and SHOCKED to see how comfy a DD was. I strutted around the dressing room for a minute before redressing and yelling to my mom "I have the most awesome boobs in the world!" Happy much? Ok maybe a tad =)
Started at 36D, now 13 wks along I'm not sure what the offical size is-but I know my minimizer bras are too tight in the cup, I've already moved one notch looser on the band. I don't know how much bigger, or how often I'm supposed to buy more bras...because they can get expensive if you want decent support. I'm not one to splurge on clothing. My mom said that when her milk came in the first time my dad laughed at her because of how huge she looked. I'm kind of put off by all these comments I see put out by websites saying "take advantage & show off your cleavage!" Um, no. That is for my husband's eyes only. I tried on some maternity shirts at Target and they were tighter than the non-maternity shirt I was already wearing! I hate having to layer due to low necklines or thin fabrics-I get too hot.
Glad someone was happy to have the "breast explosion"...I would say it's been the biggest heartache of my pregnancy! I started at a 36DD and within the first 8 weeks, was already a 36G. It was PAINFUL. (Insert body pillow to sleep with here.) Now I'm at 22 weeks and am up to a 38H. Scared about what is still to come. I have FOUND bigger bras, but they are SO DAMN UGLY. Can they at least give us some good colors if not prettier styles??? My big girls want to look good, too! I actually wrote Bravado about this...they said they're coming out with a line in September for larger cups with smaller bands (rather than they're general S-M-L-XL stuff.) My girls will be waiting...
I was an A cup before I had my kids and I'm an A cup now. Why don't I get to keep any of the C's that I had while pregnant and breastfeeding? Hopefully some will stay this time around!
I am 5 foot 4 and of normal weight but what is NOT Normal is my 34DDD (PRE Pregnancy)! Like OMG,How did they get this big.
And now that I am 17 weeks pregnant, it's a nightmare. I went up to a 34G. Who carried 34Gs? No one does and Right now I feel like I am ready to fall over. On top of that, how am I going to nurse when my boobs are 4 times the size of a Newborns head?
when i was younger i was a 36DD. I had a breast reduction and went down to 34B.
Then i gained some weight and went up to a 38C.
Now I'm 8 weeks pregnant and my bras are a little snug, but im not big enough to go up a size yet.
i'm hoping they don't get TOO big, that's why i had the surgery in the 1st place.
SORRY GUYS...I HAD A TYPO IN POST BELOW. NOT VERY HELPFUL IF YOU CAN'T FIND THE WEBSITE. THE ONE SITE IS SPELLED WITH TWO L'S. IT'S "BEALLSFLORIDA.COM".
HI. FOR THOSE OF YOU LOOKING FOR BIGGER SIZES, "BIGGERBRAS.COM" (I KNOW, SOUNDS FUNNY!) HAS SIZES UP TO "L" AND ALSO NURSING BRAS, MANY IN DIFFERENT COLORS AND STILL PRETTY. ALSO, BEALSFLORIDA.COM HAS BRAS UP TO "H" AND ALSO HAS PKGS OF BRA EXTENDERS THAT YOU CAN HOOK ONTO YOUR CURRENT SIZE AND MAKE THEM A LOT MORE COMFORTABLE AND EXTEND THE LIFE OF THE SIZE BRA YOU'RE CURRENTLY IN. THEY GIVE YOU THE EXTRA ROOM AROUND YOUR RIBCAGE WITHOUT FEELING LIKE YOUR BRA IS DIGGING ALL DAY.
I'm 13 weeks & started as a 46DD. I'm a plus zized girl & have always worn 46 or 48 DD. I just ordered my first 50DDD through a plus sized online shop, which is fine for pre-partum. Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck finding nursing bras that size & larger, but I'm looking furiously. If anyone has any ideas, please pass them along. Thanks!
well I started off with one mid size B and one full B, Now I have a Small C And a full B...:(
wondering what will happen after baby is done with them?
my sis went from a D cup pre kids to a B after 3 kids:(!
Im 13 weeks and started off at a full 38C now I'm growing out of a 38D and am actually losing weight instead of gaining. I was overweight before I got prenant. I guess we wll see how big they actually get.
i was over weight when i got pregnant with my son. i was a full 38C then pregnant it got to a 36DDD because my weight stayed the same during the pregnancy. so i had actually "lost" under my boobs. i had went from a size 22 (i coulent afford but 2 pair of maternity pants so i had some jeans a friend gave me from when she had her gastric bypass surgery)to a size 14 after he was born (i was a 18 to start). when he was 3 months old i found i was pregnant again! i gained weight like crazy- over 30lb aand back up to a 38DDD. then 2 years later when i start getting into a 16 going on a 14 im pregnant again!
i am 8 weeks along and i can already feel my 36 D bras getting too small on me, and man are they sore, i hope my boobs dont get a whole lot bigger because i am only 5'6" and 110 lbs they were too big to begin with.
verambella, u need to be properly fitted for a bra.. no chance on getter smaller any time soon.. sorry!
As for me... well i started out at a 34FF before getting preggo with my 1st; I went up to a 34G with him and stayed there (even after losing all the preggo weight) until I got preggo with my daughter at which point I went to a 34GG, with her, I went to a 34HH while nursing, now, almost 3 yrs later I lost all the weight and was able to cram into a 34DDD!!!! But, am now 13 wks with #3 and am getting back into my 34GG :( (and Ive only gained 5-6 lbs so far... why me? lol)
Anywho.. for those having a hard time finding larger bust bras that fit.. u won't be finding any in the USA... if you do, please, tell me where!! I have to order mine from England... brastop.com they are great with exchanges until you find the perfect fit! my recommendations: Panache superbra porcelain, or fayeform.. its hard to find the support in the prettier bras or try ebay if ur not opposed to wearing someone elses...
