Buy Maternity Clothes on a Budget

Before you spend a near fortune on all those cute maternity capris and beaded empire tank tops, be sensible and invest in a really good bra and comfortable pair of shoes. Without the right support, no pregnancy top is going to look its best…and without the right pair of shoes, you may never even get off the couch.

Goodwill stores seem to have a decent amount of maternity clothes for $5-$6 and if you have a Clothes Mentor near you check them out too!

Report Abuse 		I found the joy of consignment maternity shops! Paid $3-$5 a piece for shirts, pants, shorts, etc. instead of paying $20-$30 each at a retail store.

Report Abuse 		So true. Only buy what you really need; a good bra that fits you, pants or shorts that are not too tight or loose, and light, airy tops for the summer.
