Natural Houshold Cleanser

Despite your worries about harsh chemicals, the house still needs to be cleaned. Make an all-purpose cleanser from a mixture of vinegar and salt. For a less-pungent alternative, dissolve four tablespoons of baking soda in a quart of warm water. Or you could always try the husband or kids-as-housekeeper route, but we have a pretty good idea of how that's gonna work out.

Report Abuse 		i'm not preggers but i have 2 kids...and with all of the stuff in the news about chemicals and with the recession the price of cleansers- i tried this last week on my kitchen floors (they're some sort of stone) and IT WORKED! it actually made them look better than the mr. clean.

Sorry to inform you, but all dads are NOT deadbeats. I know you already know that, but when you put stuff like that in an article, it makes you sound like a man-hater. Not only do I gladly help out around the house now that WE'RE pregnant, I did it before WE were pregnant. I am very sorry - I have enjoyed so much of what is on this site, but I just don't like the tone of this erroneous blanket statement.
