Find a Pediatrician

Has your hunt for a pediatrician (Google searches, reference books, recommendations from friends) left you completely bewildered, with "labor day" fast approaching? Make it easy on yourself and ask your ob-gyn who she used for her kids. If you trust her with your body, wouldn't you trust her opinion for your baby, too?

Report Abuse 		My baby came early, and I hadn't chosen a pediatrician yet. As I held my new baby, my OB/GYN asked me who my daughter's pediatrician was. I asked him for his recommendations. His response was "In what part of the city do you live?" Armed with that information he gave me the name of a pediatrician that was good and was located within a mile of my home. His reasoning..."when you are driving to the doctor's office with a puking child in the backseat, do you want a doctor who is located five miles away, or 15 miles away?" I've since seen the wisdom of that advice many times over.
