Wear Your Favorite Jeans Longer When Pregnant

You're determined to wear your designer jeans until the very last possible pregnant moment. (Considering what you paid for them, we don't blame you.) Move that moment another month away by looping a large rubber band through the buttonhole and wrapping it around the button. Didn't know your favorite designer had a maternity line? Well neither did he!

Hooking the rubber band only around the button didn't work (through the button hole and back to the button) since I didn't have a small enough rubber band. So I looped it around the button, through the button hole an doubled back to safety pin the other end of the rubber band to the first belt loop. I used a large safety pin. It's worked great!

I actually did this 11 years ago with my 1st pregnancy but instead of a rubber band so u can avoid the snap, you can also use hair bands. They also make small ":mini" hair bands so if your not that big but still cant button and zip u can use the smaller hair bands. The tube top "bella band" is a great idea...Im gonna try it today!! Thanks!!! ;)

Rubberbands are pretty common advice (so are shoestrings). I really recommend the Bella Band. I'm about 11 weeks right now and not big enough for maternity wear, but I can no longer zip/button any of my pre-pregnancy pants. The Bella Band (and all other brands of the same item) is like a tube top that you pull down over your pants, and it keeps them up while unzipped, looks like you're wearing a cami, and it's comfortable!

I tried this, but I couldn't find a rubber band small enough to compensate for the amount of extra room I wanted early on. (bigger band don't stay looped). I mostly just don't button any pants, and either wear a loose belt or long tighter tank to keep them in place.

This worked great for me until I reached up to the top shelf in the supermarket, exposing my newly-plump belly to the world. Just make sure you keep your arms down if you use this trick!
