Pee Less at Night While Pregnant

Spending more time in the bathroom than in bed? Lean forward and rest your elbows on your knees while peeing. It'll help you to fully empty your bladder, which will at least cut out a few of those 17 middle-of-the-night bathroom trips.

9 weeks and I am up every hour not matter if I fully empty my bladder the time before that I still have to pee every hour on the hour, my babies kidneys are working well thats for sure!!!

Report Abuse 		29 weeks now and used to going 5 to 10 times a night, full bladder or not i have to go. One thing that has helped a little is holding the very bottom of my belly up and leaning foward. Oh and making sure i wait long enough to squeeze that last bit out. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries but that and no fluids before bedtime have brought me down to between 3 and 5. For me though if i wake up and think about it,, no matter what , i have to go. I know, lol, its a mind thing.

Report Abuse 		This doesn't work for me. Instead I either have to sit on the toilet in a backwards position or sit as far forward as I can (without peeing on the floor) and leaning my back against the lid. Those are the ONLY ways that completely empty my bladder. That way I only have 3 trips to the bathroom at night instead of 6-7

Report Abuse 		I would have to agree this works for some people, but having previa prior to now makes it hard to fully empty your bladder. I do everything but stand on my head and I am in the bathroom atleast 5 times a night. 29 weeks pregnant.

Report Abuse 		This is non-sense. I do this anyways because of my sciatic nerve. I am up atlease 4 times a night anyway. I tried not drinking anything before bed and that doesn't work either. No use just deal with it.

Report Abuse 		I tried this but my frequent trips to the toilet never changed. I tried peeing on a standing position and it worked. I think something is definitely wrong with me. lol.

Report Abuse 		I started doing this few weeks ago, it helped. Of course I wake up every 2 hours anyway but now I don't feel the sudden urge to waddle out of bed and down the dark hallway to get to the toilette before I have an accident.

Report Abuse 		I'll try it but I dont know cause wit my first one I even tried not drinking water 4 hrs before bed and still woke up to go pee at night. I dont know where the liquid comes from but it comes regardless ... lol. It's just natures way of preparing you for the newborn and you will always have to deal wit it.

Report Abuse 		Lets hope this works! lol. I am up like 4 times every night. And it's not easy go from laying down to sitting up.. it takes so much energy, I get back to bed and can't fall alseep!
