Morning Sickness Remedy

During pregnancy, random smells (like food-court fries) can make you positively puke-ish. Save face by putting lemon extract or lavender oil on a handkerchief in your purse. When you're overcome by an odor, mask it by breathing into the handkerchief. Yes, it's a little Southern belle, but "I do declare" it's more ladylike than retching over a trash can at the mall.

This is great, what I have found to be REALLY helpful is a few drops of "MotionEaze" behind my ears or in a tissue to sniff. It is for motion sickness and sold at most fishing and bait stores. With all natural extracts it isn't harmful. Lavander gives me headaches (go figure) so it has reall saved the day.

extra vitamin b6, there is a hot cocoa mix out there called women's wellness that has extra b6 and a few other vitamins in it. It doesn't work all the time but it does help.

Mints & Apples helped me too. BUT, it doesn't help too much. I don't think there is ANYTHING out there that'll make u feel better. I tried the crackers, rice cakes, prego pops, u name it, I tried. When u get it, u get it.

Hey Pookie, tell your lovely husband that now is the time to quit! He can do it for you and your baby to be, it's not healthy for you or the baby, but most important it's not healthy for him.... I feel your pain, my husband is only on day two with no cigarettes, he keeps cheating. Good luck

Morning sickness is terrible, but no one told me that I would have morning noon and night sickness. It's enough to throw me in the nut house. It's taking most my effort to sit here now, but my back won't allow me to lay down any longer. Geez, when does this get better! Anyways, Yesterday I started eating lemon drops, they work wonders for nausea, unfortunatly they only last a few minutes, but for some reason the tartness calms my stomach and I can actually get down a few sips of water. If the lemon doesn't work, try some ginger ale and crackers before you even move out of your bed in the morning. Don't worry it should be over soon....I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Stay positive.

Nothing works for me either. I'm 10 wks today and it's all-day and night-sickness for me. There is absolutely no relief from this. It really sucks because i'm always thinking about not triggering it and i'm really exhausted. Oh yeah- i've tried phenegan-I think i spelled it right and I cannot afford the Xofran. That is way too expensive for me and my insurance at this time.

I usually try to burb myself or expel air from my system (from either end) whenever I feel nauseaus. It works wonders. I think wind in my system makes me nauseaus.

Well it works about 90% of the time which at this point is like heaven but I genrally have a small glass of ginger ale right when I wake up and then I have toast about 20 min. later. I then drink an Ice Tea and then about an hour after all of this happens I can eat. Yes a process but it has made a difference.

I use to work at the hospital....and some of the patients were super stinky...ex: they would come in with a gangrenous foot (gangreen)....so I started putting lotion under my nose so when I breathed in I smelt the lotion...lol...it helped a little...ecspecially since I had to use my hands to type...and couldnt cover my nose w/ a handkerchief!

for pookie, the only thing i can really suggest is to ask him to smoke somewhere else, and then to change his clothes. no smoking in the house or the car, or anywhere near where you are. common courtesy.
