Get More Iron in Your Diet

In case you don't have enough health issues to worry about while pregnant, here's one more: It's common to become anemic while you grow a new life. Pumping up your iron intake with iron-rich foods is a no-brainer, but you can also boost your levels by using cast-iron cookware. It might not make eggs any more appetizing, but it'll make them better for you.

"It may not make eggs any more appetizing"? My husband takes proper care of his skillet, seasoning it instead of brillo-pad scrubbing it, which can shorten it's lifespan. It's perfectly safe, of course, scrubbed out with kosher salt, but anything you cook in it carries the ghosts of a hundred steak dinners! It can make a piece of dry white toast exotic!
